We are an independent, member-funded, not-for-profit organisation affiliated through a Deed of Agreement with the NSW Business Chamber, trading as Business NSW and Business Australia.
Business Hunter is overseen by a Board of Directors drawn from our membership, including one representative of the Business NSW board and one director representing our local chamber alliance partners. Board elections are undertaken every two years. Businesses must be financial members of Hunter First or Business Hunter to be eligible to vote or stand a candidate for election to the board.
Formerly the Hunter Business Chamber, we adopted the name Business Hunter in 2020.

Business Hunter Annual General Meeting 2021
The 2021 Annual General Meeting will be held at the Broadmeadow Room, MacDonald Jones Stadium at 12.30 pm AEDT on Friday, 3rd December 2021.
The AGM will be held as a live event subject to COVID safe requirements, as such attendance numbers at the meeting may be limited. Subject to the response to attend the AGM, HBC will consider and advise members of any arrangements in relation to limits on attendance should this be necessary.
The Proxy Form for the 2021 AGM must be completed and lodged with the Company Secretary no later than 5.00pm AEDT on 26 November 2021. Members wishing to propose an item of Other Business at the AGM are to put their request in writing to the Company Secretary to be received by 5.00pm AEDT on 26 November 2021.
