ASIC has consented to the resignation of Business Hunter's auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) of Level 17 One International Towers, Watermans Quay Barangaroo NSW 2000 with effect from 20 May 2022.
The Board of Business Hunter has appointed BDO Audit Pty Ltd (BDO), of Level 11, 1 Margaret St Sydney NSW 2000, as the company’s new auditor.
Given PwC had been the company’s auditor for approximately 15 years, the Board determined that it was, from a governance perspective, appropriate to undertake a tender process for audit services. Following a rigorous tender process, the Board selected BDO as the successful tenderer and requested PwC to resign. The request for PwC to resign was not driven by any disagreements or issues between the company and PwC, but rather, the appropriateness of periodic auditor rotation.
In accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), a resolution confirming the Board’s appointment of BDO will be put to members at the Annual General Meeting in November 2022.
